Zombie Apocolypse
Ok, well, not quite. But I kept thinking that as I was photographing with my roommate at the old North Carolina Finishing Company factory in Spencer, NC. It wasn’t all that long ago that this place kept the town alive. Now it looks as though it’s been sitting there for an undeterminably long amount of time. I’m not really sure why so many of the buildings have been leveled, and why they left the paperwork everywhere. I always find that so astonishing about abandoned sites: it always seems that things are left as though everyone is going to come back into work on Monday.
Also on this site was what appeared to be an old school. Of course by now the place has been vandalized, but that just makes the experience all the more interesting when you step inside now.
